I’m Dimitar, but you can call me Dimi. When I was 15 and going to art school, a friend taught me a few chords on an acoustic guitar during class. I got really interested in playing after that. I got an old guitar and practiced a lot in my small room, often listening to Satriani music.
Around 2000-2001, I switched to digital guitar software because getting physical amps and effects was tough. I worked hard to make digital sound as good as analog, and that became my thing. I drew inspiration from guitar legends like Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai.
After releasing “Broken Clouds” in 2011, my music started blending Folk and Middle Eastern styles. “Sing to the Mountain” in 2012 is a good example of that.
Let me tell you about my first official album, “Universe.” In 2006, I recorded a song called “Purely and Simply” in my home studio. It was part of “Universe” and marked my first real shot at making a professional-quality track. A friend from West Virginia helped produce it, and a talented drummer named John Wooten recorded the drums in his own studio. Fc Bester mastered the album, and it was a proud moment for me.
Also, I’ve made presets and showed off sample tracks for lots of companies like Overloud, IK Multimedia, Native Instruments, Sonic Reality, Studio Devil Virtual Tube Amplification, Revalver, Vandal, Kuassa, and more.
I’m grateful to everyone who supported me. Despite the challenges of being a musician from a small country, I’m determined to keep going. Art has been my passion from the start, shaping who I am today. Thanks to all who’ve been part of this journey. Much love and respect to you all! 2022 (Албум)
